Mr. Aamir Rashid Chowdhary S/o Mohammad Rashid Chowdhary R/o Village Panihad, Tehsil Koteranka, District Rajouri, J&K has been awarded Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering (Ph.D.)
under the Faculty of Engineering Sciences for Doctoral Research Thesis on “Estimation and control of structural vibration in tunnel for low speed metro line” by Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) at CSIR- Central Road Research Institute, New Delhi, India.
Dr. Aamir did his research under the guidance of Dr. Nasim Akhtar, Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR-CRRI, New Delhi and Professor in AcSIR to whom he has expressed his deep gratitude for invaluable direction. He completed his Ph.D. research in 40 months only.
In this research, he tried to find out the impact of vibration generated from the metro trains along its corridor specifically on structures.
Dr. Aamir also performed vibration analysis on flyovers and historical sites as part of his M.Tech degree in 2016. In his M.Tech., he was awarded Gold Medal. During his Ph.D. research, he published many papers in national and international journals.
Dr. Aamir attributes his accomplishment to Almighty Allah and his parents. Currently, he is serving in Jal Shakti Department of Government of Jammu and Kashmir, India.
