Dangling electric wires, decaying electric poles pose threat to lives in Waskura
Ganderbal: Dangling electric wires tied with trees and worn-out wooden poles are posing grave threat to the lives of people as well as to their property in Waskura village in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district besides people are facing acute power shortage due to deterioration of the transmission infrastructure.
Locals allege that the concerned department has never bothered to change the electric poles and wires .
The unwanted wires tied with wooden logs and tree branches.
The population living in the village is anxious as the weak infrastructure pose threat to the human life and live stock as well.
Residents said that despite repeated requests to concern department no heed has been paid so for to mitigate the problem.
We Appealed many times concerned departments but all in vain
Residents appealed LG administration and DC Ganderbal to intervene into the matter.
