Sgr reports 18 cases; Case tally at 452,817 death toll stands at 4,748, active cases reach to 995, recovery rate reaches to 98.73
Srinagar, Feb 25 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Friday reported 95 fresh cases pushing the number of active cases to 995 while as no death was reported in last 24 hours in the UT.
With no more death, the death toll in J&K stands at 4,748 and 95 fresh positive cases reported on Friday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 452,817.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 95 new cases, 30 belong to Kashmir division while as 65 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 286,994 including 284,162 recoveries and 2,423 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 165,823 including 162,912 recoveries and 2,325 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 995 including 409 from Kashmir division and 586 from Jammu division.
With 187 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 447,074 which is 98.73 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 18 from Srinagar, 03 from Baramulla, 03 from Budgam, 00 from Pulwama, 03 from Kupwara, 01 from Anantnag, 01 from Bandipora, 00 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 00 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 65 from Jammu division include 27 from Jammu district, 00 from Udhampur, 02 from Rajouri, 20 from Doda, 05 from Kathua, 05 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 01 from Poonch, 05 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
As per officials figures, 102,179 positive cases including 907 deaths and 101,028 recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,574 including 304 deaths and 37,204 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,794 including 34,535 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Budgam, 18,416 including 18,212 recoveries and 201 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,704 including 174 deaths and 21,518 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,419 including 22,181 recoveries and 219 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,667 cases including 13,539 and 118 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,626 including 13,537 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,311 including 16,173 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,304 including 6,235 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 75,903 including 74,470 recoveries and 1,222 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,750 including 14,586 recoveries and 147 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,797 including 12,538 recoveries and 249 deaths are from Rajouri, 11,470 including 11,115 recoveries and 144 deaths are from Doda, 11,395 including 11,191 recoveries and 166 deaths are from Kathua, 9,082 including 8,943 recoveries and 125 deaths are from Samba, 5,871 including 5,798 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,734 including 7,610 recoveries and 110 deaths are from Poonch, 8,122 including 8,017 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,699 including 8,644 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 6,098,671 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 33,365 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 995 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 5,610,003 persons have completed the surveillance period and 449,560 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 23,123,658 samples are available. Out of 23,123,658 the number of samples tested negative stands at 22,670,841 while as 452,817 have tested positive, among them 955 cases are active, 447,074 have recovered and 4,748 persons have died—(KNO)
