Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a girl fell down while crossing a temporary bridge made of wooden trees over Nallah Doodhganga at Check i Surasyar.

She was immediately rescued and was brought to Sub District Hospital Chadoora where from she was referred to SMHS hospital Srinagar.

They identified the girl as Masrat Jan (14) of Check i Surasyar and said that her condition is said to be stable.

However, locals of Hajam Mohalla check Sursyar held a protest and alleged that the incident happened due to the negligence of government as it failed to construct a concrete bridge over Nallah Doodhganga for this village.

Residents said that they approached the concerned officials many times but all in vain.

They appealed Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha and district administration to fulfill their demands by constructing a bridge in Doodhganga so that they could have a sigh of relief—(KNO)
