ZOJILA: An oil tanker driver loss his life in a deadly road accident after his vehicle skidded of the road on Srinagar-leh highway near India Gate Zojila this morning.
As per police sources an Oil tanker bearing registration number PB08CP/0866 on way from Srinagar to Kargil Skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge near India Gate Zojila Pass after driver loss its control over the vehicle, Resulting of spot of the driver.
A police official told Glacier Times that soon after recieved information a team of P/S Sonamarg along medical team from PHC Sonamarg reached the spot and launched a massive rescue operation in which one dead of recovered from the spot.
Dead body has been taken to PHC Sonamarg Sonamarg for further Medico legal Formalities,said Officials.
Deceased driver has been identified as Muzaffar Iqbal Son of Mohd Iqbal a resident of Kewal Budhal district Rajouri.
Meanwhile Sonamarg police has registered a case and started further investigations.
