Horseman dies after falling off horse near holy cave shrine
Anantnag, Jul 14 (KNO): An Amarnath pilgrim died of cardiac arrest, while a horseman died after falling off horse on Thursday during Amarnath Yatra in Pahalgam area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag area, officials said here.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a 66-year-old yatri identified as Kalavala Subrmanym from Andhra Pradesh died of a heart arrest at base camp hospital near the lower cave.
He said that he was on way to Amarnath cave when he suffered cardiac arrest and was shifted to base camp hospital, where he breathed his last.
Meanwhile, a horseman, who was ferrying Amarnath Yatris, died after he fell off a horse between the holy cave and Panjtarni area.
The official identified him as Imtiyaz Ahmed Khan son of Muhammad Yousuf Khan of Chakilpora village of Shangus—(KNO)
